The clouds & yellow glow all worked fine when I used black. D:

Are you using photoshop or gimp? if you are using photoshop, what version?

Hey, maybe I missed the note or something but I'm having a problem I cant find the answer to. Whenever I try to edit a stage and I hit step 2, I get the whole file is too big error. I figured I was messing up some stuff or something so I tested my theory and hit step 1, then immediately hit step 2 without any editing and I got the same error so it's not on my end unless I'm making a stupid mistake somewhere (which is very possible). I've got some great ideas and I'm dying to get this working soon, any ideas as to what's wrong?

Edit: I just found some earlier posts that might help, and in my defense, it's sort of a general discussion and there aren't any real keywords so it makes sense my search came up empty. I'll try those solutions and get back if the problem persists.

Ok. I'm having the same problem. I could edit stages just fine, but today I extracted a few SEE stages to rip some textures for a stage editor texture I was working on. When I tried repacking the stage I got the 'file too big' error, so I tried lowering colors and stuff.
But no matter what I did the error persisted so I tried extracting the stage and clicking step2 right away, same error.
The strange thing is this happens with all stages now, even the ones I could edit before. Not even replacing all the STASH files worked.

Does really nobody know what's causing this?

I still need to do stage textures for my machinima ><

EDIT: Kay I got it fixed by making one file solid color and using that rle compression thing. Does the size always have to be smaller than what STASH gives you or is that on error on my end?
