I didn't think there was a way to expand the pac. If there was... it could easily be implemented into STASH. I've had to expand the pac on most of ESH's stages There's a little 3 byte set before each file starts that corresponds to the size of it Ah... I see them. Tried modifying stage ash to accept larger files... and failed. I got it to... 1) Change the bytes to represent the modified pac 2) Append the next section But, I'm probably making a stupid mistake somewhere... any downloadable ESH stage that you used this method on? Would be easier for me to try messing with it if I had a working example to compare it to. (Then again... could just wait for elrefugio, since he actually knows what he's doing )

I think that is the problem I had with the custom stages. Like I said before even the original textures doesn't fit back into the .pac. I got them to work now and I will soon show them on my website, but to get it to work I must either grayscale the edited backgrounds of my custom stages or index them (and giving them max. around 100 colors) so that some of them just look ugl...let's say not that good there where before.
Edit: Also something I want to point out about +2 textures. I colored the buildings of pokemon stadium 2 magenta and indexed them. On the first building texture stash asks me If I want to make it transparent. I choose yes and it tells me it has erroneous colors. On the second building texture it asks me again if I want to make it transparent. Everytime I type in y it asks again. If I just hit enter it asks me again. After a long time of entering yes I choosed no, then it worked.. Did I something wrong or is this a bug in stash 1.0?

Now I must do some more tests, but it seems to work correctly! If this works, maybe I'll add the same support to CUPASH and we will say goodbye to color limit in portraits Edit: Also something I want to point out about +2 textures. I colored the buildings of pokemon stadium 2 magenta and indexed them. On the first building texture stash asks me If I want to make it transparent. The readme file explains that some stage paletted textures work differently. And it's Pokemon Stadium 2 the one that gave me a lot of problems. Forget about modifying these textures with STASH. If you find the way of doing them with a manual method, tell me how you did it. Because my main problem was that TexConv was creating textures with colors outside the palette. Tell us what stage are you trying to edit and maybe we could help you. And also, tell us what you did because following the readme file should work fine (everyone here is posting their results).

SSE stadium/ midair stadium: As you can see some of the buildings I was able to replace them with the sky texture even if there are +2 textures (wasn't able to do transparency though) Melee Battlefield v.0.5:

I like the SSE stadium yoho97! the battlefield needs some more work if you want it to look like melee. the main brawl textures still stick out. the background needs to be a bit darker.
