I'm talking about non +1 +2 textures, Ike's leather patch isn't a +1 texture and neither is Marths cape and armor

What I have learned about transparency:
+1 textures can't have transparency (by definition)
All other textures can have transparency BUT it depends entirely on the object is is applied to (NOT the texture itself) - The alpha layer can determine transparency, reflectivity, or nothing at all.
This means that some textures can have transparency in places, and not in others, if it is applied to more than one part of the character.
So, if you try and modify the alpha of a part that doesn't support transparency it will have no effect (or a different, unwanted effect) or if you use the Magenta Method on a +2 it will just end up black.
This means essentially you can only use transparency effects on parts that already have some - like Peach's skirt, or DK's fur.
However Syntax Error seemed to manage to make all sorts of things transparent (Fox's tail?)

That's wat i did, and it showed up black, I used Gimp tho, when I first asked the question you just said, you can't make everything transparent, Is that the final answer or no. If anyone has been able to make marth's cape and armor transparent or C. Falcon's holster, shoulder pad, knee pads etc. transparent plz say something

Did you read my post?
Sure you might be able to do it somehow, but as far as I can tell, it would require editing the MODEL and not the TEXTURE.

As joey90 says, you can't make transparent anything you want. It depends on the model. Did you read my post? Sure you might be able to do it somehow, but as far as I can tell, it would require editing the MODEL and not the TEXTURE. Thanks for answering joey90.

Yeah, sorry I haven't been around. Joey and elrefugio are right though. I hope someone figures out a way to hack these parts, and shares how to do it.
My theory involves the first four lines of the .tpl. I say this, because I hexed every bit of Captain falcons siro texture to 0's and after creating/extracting the .pac, the siro texture was back to the exact same thing as it was. So I think that the first four lines hold vital info and could really mess things up, but may possibly be the key.
I'll do a little more investigating unless someone knows that I'm wrong. Does anyone know if I'm wrong? Or does anyone know what's in the first 4 lines?
Theory 2: Has anyone included the .pac or just the .pcs? I only put the .pcs in.

The 4 lines has information like width and height and type of texture. You must put PCS and PAC files always, but that won't make any texture transparent neither.
