I saw some pics of textures with palettes working with ASH, one of them was an yellow DK, but its seems that the program still dont work with the transparency of his fur. (but whatever, i still dont try the program, i only send my textures to my team, >_<)
and WOW, crono its already made, -1 from my list, but looks great at least for me, jeje

If you want to make transparent his fur you will need to work hard in order to discover where every hair is. That's not a problem of ASH, maybe we need a better version of tplx that extracts also the alpha channel for paletted textures.

Thanks a lot for testing this out Steve. No problem. Another weird thing is the fact that I actually made that leatherpatch over his chest as well as the second belt transparent. but now they just turned black. But at least I know why the hair looks so meesed up, after opening the original texture in GIMP I noticed that most if it should be transparent. Damn you photoshop for not displaying tansparency! Anyway I'll try to finish that texture once I get my Wii back. Also has anyone any idea how I can fix that transparency turned black error? Does this only happen when using ASH or is it just not possible turning these parts transparent? I had a similar problem with the fur for the Ice climbers. haxorsoft.aimoo.com/Community-Textures/SteveTV-s-WIP-1-255313.htmlFor me it was GIMP not being able to handle transparencies properly, and that's why mine turned black. I ended up colorizing the parts I wanted transparent, and then hexed in the values. Did you get your wii back yet? If so, any progress on the texture? If you need a hand with making that pouch transparent, I'd be willing to give it a try. Even though I know there are many who are better at that sort of thing than I.

I should get it back today. Will try to work on the texture whem I'm back from work. Also about the transparency thing, if you could really lend me a hand that woule be amazing cause I terribly fail at hexing.
But I see to it that I get the other flaws sorted out first.

Sounds great. Just let me know when you have everything but the transparency finished. There's one thing I'll need you to do to the textures you want transparent before you send them to me. Happy to hear the wii is ok.

You can make transparent +1 and +2 simply painting with magenta (if you use ASH, of course). With the other ones just use alpha channels on Photoshop. But you cannot make everything transparent. Only some parts.

^ elrefugio! Just for the record, Ganondorf's hands are +2 textures WITH mipmaps... Figured I'd give you that heads-up in case you hadn't already upgraded ASH.

I just finished my exams today. And I have a whole free week now, I'll release ASH 2.1 next week. Thanks for this information, I'll test it with Ganondorf and Sonic.

@ stevetv I'm having the same problem as Dragonrage, is there anyway you could help me out too, or could you just tell me how to do it, cna you use ASH and hex it so that magenta will be invisible??

I'll answer you quoting my own message. You can make transparent +1 and +2 simply painting with magenta (if you use ASH, of course). You should read the readme file, because it is explained there.
