Does Sakurai look on the Internet?

it seems like sakurai put in some of the most wanted people in brawl, but he also didn't put in some of them. people wanted olimar, sonic, and i believe diddy kong, and they got in. people also wanted krystal, black shadow, blaziken, and megaman, yet they weren't included.

also, people wanted sonic, but now they hate him. people wanted lucario, but they want mewtwo back. i also see olimar and MANY diddy haters.


so, do you think sakurai reads the internet, and puts in characters depending on how many people want a character in?

There's a Japanese poll that heavily influences which characters get in. There was one before Melee was made, too. I don't know the exact stats because I don't feel like looking it up, but it shouldn't be hard to find with good Google searching. The only thing I clearly remember is that Sonic was at the top.

That's an interesting observation. But, of course the japanese public would have the most say in the character choosing. I wish Sakurai n' others would care more about the North American public... I would [shadow=red,left,300][glow=red,2,300]KILL [/glow][/shadow] for Blaziken... -_-

do you know how many people wanted krystal!? how could wolf possibly be wanted more!? he should ask other countries because that isn't very fair for us. we need to be careful of who we want in ssb4. sakurai could turn that against us.

Very true. So, ppl, let's start asking for the following:

-Blaziken (Solo character, 'nother Falcon clone?) OR Female Pkmn Trainer w/ Treecko, Marshtomp & Blaziken;

-Roy

...Wow. I actually can not, for the life of me, remember whom else I wanted in the Smash Bros Universe. I'll add more later... Oh yeah and take out annoying Wario.

Plasma, there will not be a SSB4. This is the last game in the trilogy.

As for Roy, and Blaziken, that would be my dream to have them playable.

Toon Link, and Ike need to go, Toon Link is just a smaller clone of Link (A better smaller clone), and Ike is just... well, broken. A majority of the people use him because his knockback is too overpowered, but at least Sakurai gave him enough lag to get a hit on him. If he had the speed like he did in Path Of The Radiance, he'd be more broken than Metaknight.

Lucas... I have no idea why Sakurai put him in when only one region has the damn game he's in. I think he has to go.

well, if he made ssb4 that would get a lot of money. if he does read the internet, he can make ssb4 almost the perfect ssb in the series.

about blaziken. make a better PT by giving him lucario, blaziken, and garchomp. yes, garchomp is one of the most wanted pokemon i've seen. since lucario would be with PT, we could add mewtwo. (personally, if i could add any pokemon, i would add rotom. it isn't proven if he is legendary or not, due to legendary music, and the ability to change forms outside of battle. i know that he will never be in an ssb game though)

toon link needs to be replaced by wolf link.

kirby series needs to have another character. he is part of the 4 main representatives of brawl. he is the only series that has 3 reps. maybe galactic knight.

add krystal, but don't take out wolf. (people would complain for sure)

add roy, but with new moveset

Considering that Toon Link represents a considerable number of Zelda games at this point, he doesn't really need to go. (Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures, Minish Cap, upcoming Spirit Tracks. Yeah, he uses the Wind Wakter only in the first two, but the other four use the same style.)

For clarification: Sakurai isn't making any more SSB games. That's all we know. Considering how profitable the franchise is, Nintendo would be crazy to not make more. I just hope whoever gets put in charge of the next one realizes that Melee had the perfect balance of casual and competitive appeal. You don't have to dumb down a game to the extent that Brawl has been in order to bring in more casual gamers. You can make a game that is both deep and fun, Nintendo. -_-

Ike isn't even close to broken.... In this game. He's hilariously broken in PoR and RD, though.

Lucas... couldn't you say the same thing for Marth and Roy in Melee, Shadow? He was put in because this game is targeted at the Japanese first and everyone else second. Hell, Marth and Roy were almost taken out for the international release of Melee, but they took a chance because the localizers liked the characters' playstyle.

Kirby doesn't need another character; the three main ones are already in. Before you go around giving some series four characters, consider some like F-Zero and DK.

People need to realize that Dr. Mario, Pichu, Roy, and Ganondorf (possibly Falco, too, I don't remember) were put in the game at the last minute because they were easy to make and Sakurai wanted to fluff up the roster. The former three are not important characters, least of all Roy. Roy was, first and foremost, an advertisement for FE6 in Japan. And that game sucked. The Japanese hated it. Roy's not coming back. Accept it.
