I believe he looks around the net. I mean one of Tabuu's attacks looks like Shoop da woop.

Considering that Toon Link represents a considerable number of Zelda games at this point, he doesn't really need to go. (Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures, Minish Cap, upcoming Spirit Tracks. Yeah, he uses the Wind Wakter only in the first two, but the other four use the same style.) For clarification: Sakurai isn't making any more SSB games. That's all we know. Considering how profitable the franchise is, Nintendo would be crazy to not make more. I just hope whoever gets put in charge of the next one realizes that Melee had the perfect balance of casual and competitive appeal. You don't have to dumb down a game to the extent that Brawl has been in order to bring in more casual gamers. You can make a game that is both deep and fun, Nintendo. -_- Ike isn't even close to broken.... In this game. He's hilariously broken in PoR and RD, though. Lucas... couldn't you say the same thing for Marth and Roy in Melee, Shadow? He was put in because this game is targeted at the Japanese first and everyone else second. Hell, Marth and Roy were almost taken out for the international release of Melee, but they took a chance because the localizers liked the characters' playstyle. Kirby doesn't need another character; the three main ones are already in. Before you go around giving some series four characters, consider some like F-Zero and DK. People need to realize that Dr. Mario, Pichu, Roy, and Ganondorf (possibly Falco, too, I don't remember) were put in the game at the last minute because they were easy to make and Sakurai wanted to fluff up the roster. The former three are not important characters, least of all Roy. Roy was, first and foremost, an advertisement for FE6 in Japan. And that game sucked. The Japanese hated it. Roy's not coming back. Accept it. Meh, he seems more like a clone. I could agree on the first paragraph. I've already stated that they're not making any more SSB games, the E3 announcement said so itself. Ike is broken, well, on his knockback. The damage he gives is acceptable, but the knockback is over powered. Yes, that's a similar case for Fire Emblem, but the original SNES (Or NES) was released to the U.S. for the GBA (With Marth typo'd as Mark), while Earthbound 2 (Mother 3), was not. See the difference? F-Zero doesn't need anymore characters. It's perfectly fine with Falcon. For the DK series, Dixie Kong is the only one I agree on being in. As for Roy, not coming back because of JPN Fire Emblem 6 turning out horrible? Wouldn't that mean Sakurai is only taking the Japanese opinion? How about other regions, I would love to hear what other people have to say...

Sakurai's not working on them anymore. If you can provide proof that Nintendo itself isn't making more... Well, I probably still won't believe you, just because the company likes money as much as anyone else, but it'd be more plausible.
Ganondorf has crazy knockback, too. Is he overpowered?
I... hope you're not serious about that. The first US-released FE was Fire Emblem 7: Blazing Sword, not a port of 1. Also, Earthbound didn't exactly sell well. FE7 did, so we get more of them. It's business.
F-Zero is fine with one, but Pokemon needs more than six? Are you serious? Also, instead of what would probably be a Diddy clone, how about K. Rool. >_>
Yes, it does mean exactly that. Did you see Americans or Europeans get a poll about which characters they wanted in the game? No. This game is made by the Japanese for the Japanese.

You can say that, we'll see what happens in the future. Ganondorf is "balanced." They made him as slow as a turtle. Didn't he have crazy knockback in Melee? One thing I miss about Ganondorf are his decent hitboxes (Damn you Brawl). About the Fire Emblem port, my mistake. Should've looked into more of that. Only two games of Earthbound? 1 only US copy of 0, and many copies of 1. Earthbound 2 was planned for the N64, but it was canceled. I don't see why Pokemon needs 6. The Pokemon trainer is useless. As for Dixie being a clone, she wouldn't be much of a clone. It's like saying Shadow would be a clone of Sonic, when he has completely different abilities. Hell, I can even give him a moveset. I forgot about K. Rool, either him, or Dixie. Now that's stereotyping. x.x Meh, we can't do shit about it anyway, we're just buying from them. Like we can do better anyway. >_>

actually, i could give shadow the hedgehog a moveset.
B-chaos spear >B- spin dash vB-chaos burst (sonic battle) (very laggy, but poweful) ^B-chaos control (teleport) FS- chaos blast
smash attacks use his "heavy attack" from sonic battle, where he focuses energy onto his hands.

Because all the Pokeball Pokemon, Rayquaza as a boss, and the various cameos on Stadium 2 aren't enough, right? <_<

ITT: People whining about Brawl's roster AGAIN.
BAWWWW POPULAR CHARACTER #1274590368 ISN'T IN BRAWL I SHALL DOUSE MYSELF IN GASOLENE AND SET MYSELF ON FIRE IN FRONT OF NOA/NOE HEADQUARTERS IN PROTEST BAWWWW.
The game has been made. It cannot be changed by Sakurai or the people at Nintendo now. If you want to see a certain character in Brawl, learn some programming and put the character in the game yourself with the File Replacement code. Don't sit there and complain endlessly while doing nothing to solve the problem, we don't want to hear about it.
But christ, people. Can't any of you enjoy the game we were given on its own merits rather than being ungrateful, unsatisfiable fanwankers who do nothing but complain about how it doesn't meet your specific criteria of perfection? There is already a lot of fun stuff in Brawl. Co-op modes, Subspace Emissary, custom stages, custom controls, massive soundtrack, craptons of unlockable content, online battling, multiplayer modes out the wazoo, replays, snapshots, a coin-shooting minigame, several N64, SNES, and NES games that can be played endlessly with Gecko OS, and a huge number of built-in stages and characters. It's a robust and entertaining game by any standard, and we're only adding to its replay value here on the forums with new character costumes, custom soundtracks, and soon, custom models.
Why can't anybody sit back, take a good look at Brawl's content, and admit that it is a good game? Why does everyone focus so intensely on that ONE NEGATIVE THING they didn't like about it, usually the roster? Does that one negative aspect somehow neutralize every single one of the game's positive aspects?
It's like you're all afraid to admit you've played a video game and enjoyed yourselves. Is cynicism a virtue amongst game-players these days? Do people make up stupid niggling reasons to hate good games so they can hang out with the cool kids?
If Brawl is the last Smash Bros. game, there is no point to speculating and predicting what will be in the next game. If Brawl isn't the last Smash Bros. game, Nintendo won't care what you say here anyway. They don't read this message board and if they did then it would be bad news for Kitty Corp and the rest of us hackers since what we're doing is more than a little illegal.
Yes, Sakurai probably looks online for ideas and feedback. But he doesn't look at english sites, so if you wanna influence what he does then you better learn to write Japanese.
And just for the record: your opinions of which characters should or shouldn't be included in the game are not representative of the entire worldwide gaming populace, let alone another country with a different culture and different ideas of what is and isn't "cool". Japan is different and the game was primarily made for the Japanese. Get used to it, it happens a lot.
End rant.

how about this. they make ssb4, with a channel that holds downloadable content for the game.(characters, items, stages, ect.) that way, people can get just about whatever they want, and sakurai doesn't need to make ssb5. he only needs to add stuff to the channel every once in a while. that will make even more money if you would need wii points to download them

Sakurai is not making more Smash games. Period. He's done. The next SSB will have someone else in charge.
Also, Stoney, thank you. As an admin, I can't really say those things so harshly myself, but I can agree with them.
