...The site is down for now. This happens frequently, though some people are beginning to think the ]EE[ patch has something to do with it I doubt it, they'll be back up later.

The patch -does- have something to do with it, they probably burned their bandwidth like no ones business as soon as that was put up for download

They should really just put that Syntax Error patch up for download on Mega Upload or something. Or just make Fit Artifex, Chaos Control, etc. use some other server.

Dammit, every time there's a server issue, people freak out. SS isn't going anywhere; Nintendo doesn't care about texture hacking; the server doesn't care about copyright issues because it's in fsking Finland or something. There's no reason for SS to disappear.
It's a bandwidth thing. Like I said on ESH, hosting the EE patch on the server itself is one of the most moronic things I've ever heard of. It's like 35 MB, and it ate bandwidth like mad.
