The Nintendo conference is on right now. Has been for 15 minutes, and they've already announced a new Wii Mario.

Nintendos conference was pretty meh, new Metroid looked interesting but to me Mario Galaxy 2 was really disappointing. I didn't really like Mario Galaxy so that was the 3D Mario I never wanted to see a sequel off.
Wii Motion Plus in my opinion is a kick in the balls for everyone who owns a wii. This is something that should have been there from the start. But no they make us pay extra money for more precise controls.
DS section was mostly boring as hell.
But on the positive site ...
FINALLY A GOLDEN SUN SEQUEL!!!11111 /fanboyism off
That's pretty much the only good news to me, the overall presentation was disappointing as usual. Nintendo has been going the casual road for years.

*shrug* Metroid: Other M looked really cool, and I liked Galaxy, so Galaxy 2 (with Yoshi!) makes me happy. Golden Sun had me doing fanboy squeals, and a release date for KH 358/2 Days was good. Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers looks interesting.
Not to say there weren't downsides. I laughed aloud at the "Wii Vitality Sensor." Iwata's speech boils down to "Our casual focus is only getting stronger as we move forward, time to get used to it." Wii Motion Plus is, as you say, Nintendo's way of making us pay for their failure to get things right the first time. And yeah, the DS section was pretty dry. Golden Sun and M&L RPG 3 (which we mostly already knew about) were pretty much the only highlights.

Oh you're right Galaxy 2 has Yoshi. I like Yoshi. Super Mario World was one my first video games. Guess I'll have to finish Galaxy and get used to it.
Metroid looked cool yeah, but with their 'lowering the skill bar' attitude I'm really afraid they're going to mess up on that.
Super Mario RPG3 was one of the better titles in the DS section but as you said it's not really new.
I'm indifferent about Crystal Beares. What I liked about the Chrystal Chronicles series was the muliplayer experience and CB seems to be a single player game. From the gameplay footage I can't really tell if I like it or not. We'll just have to wait and see.
The highlight for me definately was Golden Sun DS I'm a big fan of the first two games and had almost given up hope they would ever make another one. I recall the Takahashi brothers having said the first two games were just supposed to be a prequel to a much bigger event in an interview once. This is hype.

Other M is being made by Team Ninja, the same people who made Ninja Gaiden. Ninja Gaiden was not an easy game.

I'm happy. I had low expectations after last year... and with 2 new Marios and a Metroid that I'm actually interested in, that did it for me. As for the other 2 conferences... M$Natal : I really do not see the hype some people (even good friend's of mine) are giving it... it really does just look like an eyetoy to me... Maybe its the fact that "vision" videos of it working perfectly (...even ahead of the "players" at times) and the sheer contrast with some of the issues that arose during the demo killed it for me. Oh... and did I mention that it looked like an upgraded eyetoy? (Very first thought even! Damn!) Metal Gear Rising: I'm interested. SonyDual-Wiimotes: Wiimote + WiiMotion Plus + Eyetoy, nuff said. Now... don't take it the wrong way... it's not like I have anything against M$ or Sony... but motion stuff as all 3 companies are promoting it does not look good for the future of gaming. (As an aside... I'm loving Excite Bots right now ) Metal Gear Peace Walkers: Interested... but now I need a friend who I can leech off of. Mod Racing: I think that was the name of it... the track editor was amazing, the game itself looks to be awesome customization wise... I am thoroughly intrigued by it and will put my effort into looking for a 'new best friend' to leech of for it.

I missed M$, but I did catch Sony. I ignored most of the PSP stuff (though I did lol at the lilac PSP), but God of War 3 looks like so much fun. Gran Turismo 5 can be defined as a killer app for a lot of people, but I'm just not one of them. MAG didn't really impress me -- IMO, the more people you can have playing at once, the larger the proportion of morons. Morons are exactly what I want in my tactical game, I dunno about you guys. <_<
