Hey!! did u guys ever think about how the folder with the brstm's its just called strm? Stream mabey? or maybe they are just strm files that had their extensions changed to brstm. Didnt Tohno say that he changed the file extension from adx to brstm and it still played? Maybe we need to search for a strm file converter.
K well it also seems that brstm's can be converted to wav by winamp leading me to believe that they can be converted back using the same thing.

I found out that even though you can convert adx to brstm, you cant convert brstm files from games into adx format.
Im running low on ideas but Im still working on it. If everyone keeps finding new information like this then we will accomplish something great in the end. Nintendo really made this too complicated XD

Yeah they did...those bastards...oh well. It turns out that i couldn't convert it back to brstm. Also the wav that came out was like 40,000 kb wtf? I also looked at the brstm in the hex editor and the very first bytes spell out rstm...so wheres the b? well again i think that the b is just added into the extension to throw people off...ill do more searching.

Something that may be interesting is that ast files (another Nintendo audio file) are the exact same things as brstm files! ;D I found that out by looking at the ast file in the Hex Editor and the first 4 bytes where strm just like the brstm files. Gonna try replacing some files and see how it turns out. ;D

You can replace .brstm files with .ast files? Cool.
Wait. Mario Galaxy's are .ast files, too! Man, I hope this works...

Well sadly enough ast files didnt work. But I didn't keep them as ast files i saved em as brstm files in the hex editor....I managed to replace a song with a super paper mario song but it plays wayyyy too fast. the file i got from super paper mario has 44k in the name so that makes me thing its encoded with 44,100 hrtz or bit rate or whatever they r. maybe that's to fast for brawl. also found out that f zero gx music files are simple adx files. if this was a thread about changing f zero music that problem woulda just been solved right there. lame!!
