The music file will need to be the same size or smaller than the file you are trying to replace, otherwise it'll freeze up your game. (Just like with texture files)

I don't think it would matter. Try it. But extract the song from teh ISO first in case it doesn't work and you want the other song back.

thanks onionfrog, once I figure out how to get a reduced size output file then I'll post again which shouldn't be hard considering all the programs on the net
If anyone else wants to test this out then the program i used to convert wav>adx, it is called dkZ studio. Please post your progress in this thread.

For now, the closest thing we can do is to replace songs (even with unused songs).

Hmm. I tried something like that once, Tohno, only I saved an .mp3 to .brstm right off the bat. Needless to say, that didn't work. I also tried replacing a Brawl .brstm with another official .brstm from another game (a Bowser's Castle theme from Mario Kart Wii). It loaded the game, it didn't even freeze when I tampered with it in the Music archives... It just wouldn't play anything. I believe it has to be a specific type of .brstm . . . A "Wii" BRSTM, as it was called in Winamp. I'm not completely sure on that, though. Good luck with this regardless.

Yeah, i downloaded the plugin to play the adx and brres files. Since i can freely change adx to brres I believe it will work. also found me a program that reduces the size of my wav files before i convert them to adx. I'll be testing soon because I'm almost done my shiny Pokemon project. I suspect there will be a looping problem with the songs so I'll have to do that also.
