Maybe you put it in the wrong spot, and the discoloration at a distance is mipmapping, what version of SSBBinsert where you using, if it was v0.3 or about could you send me the tpl and brres so I can examine them?

The discoloration at a distance was prolly mipmapping, so my blue box idea wont work... Also, I found out where the red shell I inserted went. The freezie now looks like the red shell... I know I put it in the right spot according to this guide (It's 023.pac, and Ive extracted 023.pac before to get the green shell's textures)... EDIT: Just got v0.3, that was prolly the mipmapping problem. Still doesn't help the red shell into freezie problem.

Is there any reason why an item would be inserted in the wrong spot? I've followed each step correctly from the first post... I've reopened the 003 and obtained the 023 inside to make sure it is the red shell... what's going on?
I'm thinking SSBBInsert isn't doing the job correctly, but other people here got it to work...

Maybe its a corrupt red shell file? I didnt upload them so im unsure (S. uploaded them for me).

Maybe its a corrupt red shell file? I didnt upload them so im unsure (S. uploaded them for me). But the same thing happened with the texture I made, and that one isn't corrupt as far as I can tell. I'll try the Premier Ball in a bit, though... EDIT: Premier Ball tested... it became my Metal Box... Hmmm, each of the items they become are a bit earlier on the list of items, like 2 or 3 earlier. Using this, I could perhaps get each item to work by setting them to go higher normal, but wouldn't go that far. But either way, this shouldn't be happening... EDIT 2: I really don't want to have to test a few just to see which one will make it work... Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

I'd just like to say that the final smash guide worked flawlessly (Although I had trouble with an indexed file, but that's ASH's problem).
So... why aren't items working properly for me and getting inserted in the wrong spot? Any idea at all?

But tell me, do the original uncompressed common3.pac come out the same size as the uncompressed common3 with custom items?

Well, after lz77ex thing, it becomes a lot bigger. The original before lz77ex is slightly smaller than the common3modded file... not that much smaller though (The recent one I tried with just a blue metal box was only .01 MB bigger).

I think know the problem here, its not what your doing, nor what I'm saying/doing. Do you have PAL/JAP brawl? Or did you get your common3_en.pac from someone else? If so, you have a foreign common3.pac file, and yes they are very different to the NTSC version I'm using. The only way you can get them to work is by: Extracting your common3.pac and finding out what each of the .pac files are and rename my items accordingly. Then follow the guide like normal. If that doesn't fix it, get my common3.pac from Stack Smash and just try that.
