Someone has probably had this idea already, but here it is.
So after discovering texture hacking for brawl and download some great textures it got me thinking... What if everyone had their own personalized texture hack for their mains. It would be like a forum signature, where you have your name and motto on your characters texture and it would be designed exactly the way you want it designed. I think Ninja Link has a personalized texture for Diddy (I think). This would really add a new level of personalization to the game, and would really liven up tournaments.
The question is, are any texture hackers willing to do this? It would be equivalent to running a sig shop. I would be willing to try my hand at it if no one else will... but I'd have to learn to texture hack, there are a few guides available though so I might just give it a try.

NEVAR!
But seriously... it wouldn't be anywhere near worth the effort.
1) Leeches / players far outnumber actual texture hackers. 2) A limited amount of replacements at once (barring use of USB Gecko) 3) Quite a bit more effort required than a sig (...if really personalizing and not just color swapping) 4) Personalization wouldn't be visible outside of your own Wii. (Same for other textures... but the point of a sig is that many other people see it --- and refer back to #2 for the tournament use)
Other than that... I have seen 2 personalized textures done. I forgot by who...
EDIT: Ah! Brental floss and flashbladetst by... flashbladetst. You can see them in the gallery.
EDIT 2: Not to mention... you can of course make requests like this anyway in the request thread / artist topics ... problem is finding someone to do them

In regards to 2, is it truly impossible that we will ever find a way to add textures as opposed to just replacing them? I can see how it wouldn't be possible, but a lot of the hakcs that are available now I would have classed as impossible not too long ago. You mentioned that its be possible to add textures by using a USB gecko... is that right? And if so, what is it about the USB gecko that makes it possible to add textures?
I can see how the ratio of players to texture hackers, and the effort required to create new textures makes the idea of personalized textures seem pretty unlikely... but what about when people have run out of characters to create in brawl as new textures. With the limitation of not being able to change characters shape and how fast new textures are being released, it won't be long before people start to run out of ideas.
Evidently the concept of personalized textures is unlikely... but it would be awesome if it could ever happen.

Adding might be possible one day... but don't bet on it.
USB Gecko can "bypass" this in that you are uploading texture only when you want to use them. (But... on the downside, you have to upload them every time you want to use them --- that is... any time you swap characters / restart your wii. --- I currently use SD loader for and USB Gecko so I can have a "default set" of characters AND can test "instantly" [30 seconds delay when uploading textures, and that's after finding the location in memory])
I suppose... you could modify the SD loader to work with button combinations (such as shield for ZSS / Shiek)... but that would probably be a lot of work (and... not easily customizable by anyone who doesn't understand how button activators work / don't know all the different controller / button values)

There are about 100 lechers for every 1 Texture hacker. But this seems more like a "what is your favorite texture" sorta topic.
