Geeze I'm glad I got all the textures that I wanted already lol. I doubt that they're gone for good, but it would be most unfortunate if they were. I mean heck I just joined a team =\. But it shouldn't be that big of a deal to fix. Like Picano said, just find different places to host them. We could just pull something like watch-movie-links.net. See what they do with their bootleg movies is they host them at all different sites and servers but only post links to them making it really hard for anyone to do anything about it, because technically they aren't doing anything illegal. I suggest that they do the same with the textures. Put the downloads for them on many different file hosting sites like mega upload and esnips and just post the links on the main site with a disclaimer. Just a suggestion but like I said, this is what bootleg host's do and also people hosting Mugen characters which are in a way even worse as far as copyrighted material haha. Hopefully we'll see Stack Smash back up soon though.

umm, I'm just gonna say that Stacksmash is on a seperate server, Texture hacking is not illegal, So thats not why the page went down, they went on about getting their own space on cultnet so that they wouldnt get closed down by their space provider

I got a e-mail from my websites leader. Meowmixers, As you've probably already noticed, stacksmash has had it's account suspended. The reasoning is placed on their site, stating: This account has been suspended. Either the domain has been overused, or the reseller ran out of resources. So big wup, they were too popular is all that means. Nobody took them down, nobody hunted them out, nobody is going anywhere. However... it's their responsibility to get the site back up and running, or put it somewhere else that wont be to strenuous on the servers. Kitty Corp's Main site, as well as MeowMix's require access to their domain and utilities -- and because their account is suspended, so it Kitty Corps, and yes, MeowMix's as well. Solvable? Easily. Do they have access to it still so they can retrieve a backup of our site? Yeah, perhaps. Luckily all of our links to the .pcs files etc are left unscathed. As soon as they get this all figured out, be sure to post as you were assigned, as per usual. For example... if they fix it on Friday, and your scheduled day to update was going to be Friday in the first place... go ahead and update Friday. If you were going to update Thursday, and it get's fixed FRIDAY... then wait until next thursday and post then. We're going to keep this going as smoothe as possible. Thanks for all your hard work, |
