I was just wondering... can I do that? Or will it screw up the game? I ask because I injected Stack Smash's Pigmask Wario over one of the Biker Wario's, not realizing it was meant for Wario Man and so the game crashes when you try to use him. Since biker texture hacks seem to be so scarce, I was wondering if I could replace him with an overalls Wario.
If not, I'll just have to rip one of the unchanged biker Warios and have a double.
For the record, I do have a back-up iso of the game, but getting to it would be a hassle as I have it on another computer so I'd like to take care of this the simplest way possible. Thank you!

D'oh, I've had those times (only I normally accidentally put Lucas costumes on Ness, and vice versa >_> ). To be honest, I've been wondering that myself... Very good chance it wouldn't work, though, given that... though the base of Wario might be the same... they have totally different models. That's like, trying to put Mario files on Dr. Mario in Melee. They may be both Mario with the same overall models, but their clothing and such are completely different.

Interesting question. On the one hand, you can replace any Pikachu texture, even if it doesn't keep the hat/goggles/headband. On the other hand, I've heard that you can't replace Jigglypuff's costume with the sun hat unless you keep the hat.
So there's evidence that it'll work and evidence that it won't. My guess is that it will. If Picano (or anyone else with a USB Gecko) sees this, (s)he could test it easily.

I don't believe alternate Wario replacement works... or at least it froze the last time I tried it.
But then again, that was a glitched Wario that failed completely so... I'll try later today if no one beats me to it.

For the time being I just replaced him with one of the unchanged bikers so I have a double costume. But please let me know how that testing goes picano! I appreciate the help!

(Tried, froze) Then again... if you put it on the disk... it should allocate memory before it loads... for my method... if the character is too large... it could kill the game. (See screenshots of a certain Wario for details )
