What are we supposed to do with the tga files?
And Is there a way to use like different poses for a character from the internet? (Example: getting a picture of shadow from like sonic heroes)
If so how would you be able to do it?

This goes on help, don't post questions here. EDIT: Moved.
Regarding your question, read the readme.htm (if you are using CUPASH) And, yes you can take poses from the internet.

I have to be honest... it doesn't get too much simpler than that.
Step 1) Unpack the contents of the CUPASH zip into a new folder.
Step 2) Place NTCompress and Texconv in this folder (PM me if you are unable to acquire these files)
Step 3) Open up your Brawl ISO in WiiScrubber
Step 4) Find the following file inside the ISO --- right click on it, and save it to the "neededfiles" folder in your CUPASH folder ---NTSC copy of Brawl) PARTITION 2/system/common5_en.pac ---PAL copy of Brawl) PARTITION 2/menu2/sc_selcharacter_XX.pac ------XX it's the language you are using in your Wii (ES=spanish, IT=italian...)
Step 5) Run "Step1_extract.bat" and wait for it to complete ---The window will close when it's done, it will take a while.
Step 6) ---Edit the images from the newly created "Templates" folder ---Save the newly edited files to the "newfiles" folder ------Make sure to index the colors to 240 or below. (Image > Mode > Indexed, or something similar) ------Anything you color in Magenta (Red: 255, Green: 0, Blue 255) will be made transparent. ------Image editors aside from photoshop may cause issues.
Step 7) Run "Step2_create.bat" ---The window will close when done, it will take a while.
Done!

Directly in the newfiles folder.
The names must be the same as the originals. (Ex: Luigi1_big, Luigi2_big, etc... depending one which one you wanted to replace ---and noting, it does not match the numbering system of the PAC files! Someone posted the matching numbers here... not sure where)

1.) They go in "newfiles". You have to COPY any of the files you want to work with from "templates" folder, then PASTE them in "newfiles" folder. (Of course, check to make sure you're editing the character you want to edit, ergo having someone on Blue Bowser, thus editing Blue Bowser and not Black or Red Bowser by accident).
2.) No. Strictly root of the "newfiles" folder. That's how the CSP ASH detects what files to add back into the game. The "menu" and "info" folders are for other things.
3.) No. Keep the files the same name. So if you make a Blue Bowser portrait, but suddenly have another Bowser take its place, you would need to either move the original Blue Bowser TGA files from "newfiles" folder elsewhere, or delete them to make room for new Blue Bowser TGA portrait files. It's all a bunch of replacement, really.

ok im getting an error message saying that it could not open file : newfiles/menu2/sc_selcharacter_en.pac after it says creating files.
I did everything you guys said, i put the new files in the new files folder, named them right (ex: mario6_big)
I do have the pal version in english so sc_selcharacter_en.pac is the correct file right?
