i did that i put the tpls files at the bottom (for toon link) they fit percfecly.. i only replaced the first 4 tpls( arms1, arms2,arms3, body1). just to see if it works.. cuz i got 2 or 3 more edited but they are with palete data but i didnt add that just the first four at the bottom.. but after i did it. i thought i did everything right.. but when i went to pick a stage it freeze... do i only replace the pcs file or do i need to replace the pac 2? or wat could it be? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a question regarding texture hacking btw…I’ve been trying to texture hack IKE and I have already done a ton of other textures for other characters that came out exactly as I wanted them. Whenever I had tried to edit Ike, I edited his clothing, hair, sword, etc. and I was easily able to get all of the files into the PAC and PCS correctly. I also ended up burning a disc, but Ike’s clothing were extremely messed up and other parts of his texture were also…I definitely placed the TPL files in the correct spots, because I ended up figuring out where they went within the PAC but, for some reason whenever I end up testing him out in game, his textures are completely messed up… Any advice would be appreciated.... I'm able to place the TPLs without any of the TEX0's getting moved and the .TPL's fit perfectly...so I'm confused as to what the problem could be...

I don't think you need to replace the .pac file since the files Teady gave are .pcs files.

Try to make Teady's textures work.. if they don't work, it means it's probably not because of your .pcs file.

Ohhh I think I figured out what was wrong with yours...You had the same error that I had the first time I did it... here is what you should copy...

ntcompress -l -o Character.txt -A4 -t1 -s -H CharacterNew.pac

EX FOR YOU:
C:\blahblahblah\NTComp>ntcompress -l -o PokeTrainer.txt -A4 -t1 -s -H PokeTrainerNew.pac

that's exactly what I wrote.. (except I replaced "character" by the character name:

ntcompress -l -o PokeTrainer.txt -A4 -t1 -s -H PokeTrainerNew.pac

Yes, I know, but if you copy it directly from the guide it never works... the same thing happened to me try copying it from my post and see if it works..

I had that problem with my own toon link texture. I'm going to ask Teady or SS whats wrong.
Also your Vaati texture i'm doing for you might take a little longer.
I picked up the wron end of the straightener(yes i straighten my hair(no i'm not a girl)) and burnt all my hand.
So me + injured = slower

what a lame excuse.haha nah im just kidding... lisen you dont have to do it if you dont want to, i prefer you forget about it if it bothers you....... but im mad cuz i keep trying to do texture for TL and all i do is waste my time.. i work on it for for hours.. just to fail .... let me know wat teady or ss tell you

...I replaced the .tcs files from Teady's batch, and everything works fine...
except my texture.
it makes the game freeze 5 secs after I select the Pokemon Trainer...
