So I have been meaning to remove the armor off of marth and Ike but I cannot do that unless I know how to add transparency to non +2 textures. I know kittyCorp has done it with the peaches, so we all know it is possible. Some information on the subject would be appreciated.

You make sure the picture has an alpha layer. (Right click on background layer) Delete (erase) sections as necessary until you see the checkered background.

unfortunately several of us hav reached complications trying to remove marth's armor, and if you remove Ike's you will find that he has very strange and gross shoulders underneath, If anyone does know how to make marth's armor disappear I'm all ears cuz I can't do any of my best ideas without, being able to

no its the same for photoshop, my main concern is trying to figure out how to make things like marth's cape turn invisible instead of black

You CANNOT make most stuff transparent. As a general rule, unless that part of the body already uses transparency then it won't work.
Basically depending on the technique you try and use, it will either turn black, or whatever colour is underneath the transparency.

I KNOW that , you've already told me over 9000 times, but I'm saying that if we've come this far ther probably is a way to do it, its just probably not as simplas just texture hacking, that's all, now people are working on putting ur own music into brawl, and stuff like, that, this may just be another advance in brawl hacking, unfortuanetl I'm just being hopeful cuz I hav no idea how to go about figuring it out

OK, just making sure you got the message If you want to make progress you will first need to work out where the transparency data is kept (i.e. whether it is in the model or in the character.pac or in some completely different file.) Once you have done that, then you have to work out how to change it as you like.
