Okay, so. For a short time I was using System Menu 4.0.
I used some "hacks" (if you want to call them that) to downgrade it to system menu 3.2 in order to use a WAD installer to upload a Super Smash Bros. 64 torrent/emulator on the virtual console.
All was good until I realized I have to re-upgrade my system menu to 4.0 in order to play my other games. Brawl included, although I can still play the Brawl+ version going through the SD card and the Homebrew Channel.
Why don't I upgrade you say?
Because if I re-upgrade to 4.0, any unauthorized modifications I made will "brick" my Wii. (Meaning I can't do anything, not even turn it on.) Downloading the SSB64 emulator goes under the unauthorized modifications category, for it is illegal to do so.
I could always try to remove SSB64 and re-upgrade, but I'm still worried it might brick for whatever reason.

I'm pretty sure it wont brick. But why don't you just load normal games through Gecko as well?

I tried playing MadWorld, it froze on a loading screen.
