ASH w/ Gimp

ok i need help with this little problem im having, and before i start yes im a newb at texture hacking>.>

and i need to know how to get rid of this error i keep getting
im Using gimp for this also

What version of ASH are you using? That shouldn't be an issue any more [2.0+] (unless... you indexed an image you weren't supposed to which would remove the alpha channel).

To fix it... go to the layer dialogue, right click on the background and click "add alpha channel).

All normal textures need to be in RGB mode. Do not index ANY of them since indexed textures don't have an Alpha Channel; normal textures require their Alpha Channel.
