I'm making a Ganondorf texture but when I go to make the pcs it says I need to have 256 colors. I go into GIMP and go image>mode>indexed and then convert it to 255 colors and go layer>transparency> remove alpha channel. What am I doing wrong and how can I get this to work? please help
Edit: Changed title to match my new problem: I can't get my .tga to work even when I index it in photoshop (mode>indexed>less than 256 colors)

You're not doing anything wrong, GIMP doesn't work with fully with ASH --- Ganon and his indexed files are one example of this.
Your choices are... 1) Index with photoshop 2) Manually inserting that image

Yeah it's still not working... I indexed it in photoshop and then saved as a .tga but it gives the same message.
edit: The image only has around 70 colors and it's in indexed mode. The actual piece in Ganon's hand.
