Forum Issues

First off... let me just say I love this place! The default dark forum design and the catgirls above each section!

But anyway... Is it just me or does this happen to anyone else? When looking through the forums, the column with the folders sometimes takes up about half the screen, squashing the title column to only allow a few words at a time. --- This happens time to time in other places, a refresh would usually solve it or a more drastic clearing of the cache... but here it seems to happen a lot more frequently and is not resolving itself after the aforementioned methods.

This last thing is just a small annoyance. The clickable kitty corp banner across the top (cute!), the clikable area extends far into the sides. Not a big issue, but I happen to accidentally click those areas when posting --- don't lose any text but, have to click "new topic" again in order to be able to post.

I know what you mean with the banner.
The wierd folder thing doesn't happen for me, maybe it's something to do with the page loading and then it stops and hasn't yet finished.
I don't think you can solve the banner though as this happened on the ]EE[ forums aswell.

Yeh, the banner thing's a problem here as well. 90% of the time I try to click randomly on the page so I can scroll, and I end up hitting those invisibly extended parts of the banner. Go figure.

But... ARE those catgirls? I really can't tell. I've been wondering that since I got here. XP

I think the screen loads improperly at times.
This maybe a host problem and not a specific problem of this site.

So, I was messing around, looking through forum settings and such... and think I found what was causing some pages here to randomly display stretched out.

The default folder icon.



Was linked to

instead of

i344.photobucket.com/albums/p331/TeadyMKII/Forum/folder.png

So... if anyone has any troubles, blame me. (Although --- it hasn't been me messing with the text coloration)

also, sometimes, big avatars aren't stretched down, and they take like half of the page size.. If I hit refresh it fixes it.

That error I can't figure out. I think it might be in the coding of the forum itself.

But for those cases... I have manually shrunk the avatar and re-uploaded (only done 1 so far for Pako... I was disappointed to see raymikey was banned before I could do anything about his oversized-ness! Although... I did remove the image tags from Raymikey's sig, so any of his older posts don't stretch out the forum too much).

Also, all these new colors are driving me crazy. I appreciate that you guys are probably experimenting right now, but... these varied colors, while flashy and pretty, do not make for a unified theme, which should be your main goal.

I think that was krlosf's doing, however, I think it looks better than before.
