You can also edit the step 2 code so that your new PAC file is called common5.pac instead of always being called common5_en.pac.

Oh good, thanks for this. I thought I was the only one that wasn't getting the in-battle portraits.
And welcome to Kitty Corp.!

Minor change, but very useful to the new people and also useful to the people who aren't familiar with CSS editing.

I did on Smashboards but forgot about Kitty Corp for some reason. Oh good, thanks for this. I thought I was the only one that wasn't getting the in-battle portraits. And welcome to Kitty Corp.! Thank you ^_^, actually been around for a while..just never needed to post.

I really thought more people knew this already as it was discussed here a few times in the past.
But it can be helped with that 'tutorial thread' on swf still giving out false information even after it was pointed out by several people. I was hoping for el_refugio to update his download but meh I guess I'll edit your fixed step2 in to the CUPASH op.
Anyway thanks for pointing it out, hopefully this hoax will vanish now.

Is there another quick fix to make Step 2 more compliant with _small.tga made in Gimp? I recall there was a similar change made for _big images in the .pl file, but not for _small? Whenever I make my own _small portraits in Gimp, they always cause Step 2 to close itself. I could be doing something wrong, but I've never had a problem with making my own _big portraits, and am doing what is recommended:
48x56 image size 32 color indexed ff00ff magenta background
_small portraits I find elsewhere are working fine, though.

Thank you for your work xsilvenx I'm not on smash hacking anymore, but I'd like to return someday with a CUPASH 2.0, with no limits for portraits. I'm working on other more important projects so I don't know if I'll be able to work on this updated CUPASH. I hope to get some free time this summer.

At the moment I'm only using a portion of the roster because the freezing issue. Someone else has had the same freezing issue so it's not only me. Please let me know when you update CUPASH it will be greatly appreciated.
