Hey guys, ive been working on some stuff lately and i found something most interesting just now. Ill give the good and bad new about it:
GOOD NEWS:
I about 99% sure i know how to edit the Fit**MotionEtc.pac files! (animation swaps and possible emerald textures for chars that dont have one)
BAD NEWS:
To actually edited one a good deal would take so much time to compile manually (theres about 750 offsets to edit and each one would take about 5 - 10 mins each, and ontop of that theres more more!)
The reason im posting this is, im wondering if anyone here is willing to write a file that can do this. What this would include would be along the lines of this:
swap *file1modded* for *file1original* > 000.brres
>
in 000.brres: go to offset > find difference between that and word (the words and offsets are in order) > repeat over and over again.
>
Edit 000.brres verification offset.
I know it seems extremely daunting, but my lack of scripting language restricts me from writing this myself.
PM me if you are interested.

Sounds interesting but I will wanna see someone else do it first before I try. Well just to edit 1 animation would require all of those offsets to be messed with, so its either spend 5 days straight hexing or get someone to write something that will do that automatically. Im pretty sure writing a program that can do this would be quicker than actually doing 1 of these files manually.

That sounds horrifying and amazing at the same time. Congratulations.

VILE~ I believe SSBBarc can already do this, and if it can't it has most of the infrastructure need to do this.

EDIT: All i get is an end of file reached unexpectedly error. I edited it so it actually fits, but no dice.

Did you try V0.6? If so what's the file? I tried 0.2, 0.5 and 0.6. I tried to insert SpecialN.CHR0.
