 Know where I got the inspiration for this texture hack from? ...How about now?  I think the headset is pretty much done.  I wish I could make Fox's clothing look metallic. I made a topic about it on the Help Subforum, and based on the replies, it doesn't seem possible. Obviously, the jacket needs to be a bit darker (more orange). I also need to work on getting the shirt/pants/whatever to match the color of the yellow parts of Samus's armor.  I'd also like to make the currently black circles on Fox's boots look like the green orbs on Samus's boots. I have to learn how to cut/copy objects from one TGA file and put it onto another using Photoshop. This is also described in the help topic I made. I need to make the bigger, darker part on Fox's boots lighter as well. The gun looks pretty badace; it just needs to be a bit lighter in color.
Any suggestions on how to improve this texture (or any feedback in general) is greatly appreaciated! |

Well there's already a Captain Falcon costume for Pikachu. If you haven't seen it, watch Smashtasm Season 2 Episode 2. I don't know if it's available, though.

I made the texture even cooler-looking, but I still have some editing to do. I got the orbs on his shoes, and I tried putting them on his hands as well, but it doesn't look that good (they look flat), so I have to take them off. I also have to fix the shoes; constant editing has turned it really dark and it won't change simply by color replacement. I also want to make his Landmaster look like Samus's ship before releasing.
School ends for me in a week, so I'll probably start working on it then when I get bored.

I know you've already started, but if it's not too late you might consider using an emerald texture to make Fox look "metallic" like you originally wanted.

Samus looks metallic, however. I'm not aware that she uses an emerald texture... Does anyone know how the game decides what is metallic and what is cloth? Is it decided by way of the textures (pcs) or models (brres)?
