^ Was it in the "final" subcategory? I extracted Sonic's alternate Final Smash PAC file from there. There weren't any golden files, just three other files (two being colorless, the last looking like a pattern of lightly green-tinted hexagons). However... This is something I've noticed for a long time in PAC files. At the end (or somewhere at the beginning) of PAC files, there are names. In this Sonic Final Smash file case, there are names at the end of the file like "BlueEmeraldGlow", and near the beginning of the file, names like "PtcFinSonicAura". I figure these files are separated very similarly like TEX0 files, where one TEX0 ends, another begins until you reach the final TEX0. I know I've seen separations in the PAC file that start with "yy". I messed with them once and intentionally turned them black (in Sonic's file to try and find that blasted pink overlay). They DID mess with the model textures... so I figure it'd have the same effect in Super Sonic's files. Nope, i have done everything to it man, PtcFinSonicAura was edited, its just editing the smash ball aura.

How, was regular sonic fixed? I suspect it may have something to do with a white/red striped file in the common files, but I haven't bothered to try that out

it's a square file in a common_x.pac file it has one horizontal line of not quite solid white and another of not quite solid red (I'm not at my normal computer so i can't tell you the exact texture right now) It doubt it actually has anything with sonic though

A small bit of good news for you guys: I accidentally broke Final Destination's lighting system, so I was able to take snapshots of Super Sonic's orange color (the layer that makes him golden) without interference from the game's lighting. I took the liberty of opening the picture in Photoshop and using the color sampler to find out the orange's hexadecimal value. It is FF9933. You guys can now brute-force a search for that value in the game files. Have fun. EDIT: I tried looking for it myself with Hex Workshop. The value isn't in the FitSonicFinal.PAC (which makes sense, seeing as VILEE edited everything possible within it to no avail), but looking for it within the Brawl ISO reveals a match. Problem is, I don't know which file has the match and can't burn a new DVD to test out changes to the ISO as a whole. Anyone care to help?

I don't think so, but looking at it again i don't think it's sonic related it's in: common_03.pac/003/025/ItmCmnHrsn_auto1.tpl
