Ah... I'll assume it has something to do with his white eyes overlapping his iris? (I know I suffered from that problem first time around with my Young Link texhax.)
To make his iris appear, transparent any white part in the LID files, leaving only his eyelashes (if he has any) and possibly skin. See how that goes for you.

If that's not the case... erm... then I don't know. >.>
