I highly doubt anyone "made" Starshadow quit. Some people just can't take mass pressure and cave in. You have to expect this kind of behavor on the internet it's not like it's new and completely unexpected at this point.

Thats just a horrible attitude. This guy is doing more for texture hacks than most all of this board and when idiots are trash talking all over, you have to understand when they choose to leave.

I don't really see what you mean by "doing more for texture hacks." I believe the entire thing that started this discussion was he isn't currently doing anything at all (which in point is exactly the opposite, is it not?). I haven't really gone back to read what other people think of Register (frankly, I don't care), but I haven't seen anyone "trash talk" the guy unless you mean me. In which case, I'm not so much trash talking but pointing out things that should be blatantly obvious to begin with.

Edit: Let me clear something up here. I don't dislike Register. I like his hacks. I have some of them. I think some of them are a little redundant, but most are high quality.

You have other texture hacks to enjoy in the mean time. That's the way I see it which has got me to rarely ever think about Register, and his textures.

Or, we could realize that this is a side project that Regi has taken on in his spare time (which he says he has none of at the moment, which we should simply believe), with no obligation to us whatsoever other than his whim and situational desire to provide us with his textures?

Case in point, if you don't like his inactivity, too bad. He doesn't owe anyone here anything, and obviously has business outside of the internet.

But that's just my two cents, I've no will to enter a pointless internet argument.

And for the sake of sparing Regi yet another post devoted to his "controversial absence," I've gotta say, I love the Koopalings. That, and Toon Ganondorf turned out great. =]

To those who were backing me up, really appreciate it. I seriously needed that support rather than constant pressure.

I know you don't mean to sound like you're attacking me, so I'm not offended, and I understand where you're coming from. Heck, I'd probably think the same thing of someone showing but not releasing textures.
What you need to understand is this: My focus can be easily sidetracked. If I were to release textures, I'd completely forget about schoolwork, I'd steadily fall back in homework (as I was before I stopped releasing textures), and I'd basically dig my own grave. I have a poor attention span; or rather, I can be easily distracted, especially with schoolwork. In order for me to focus, I have to stop doing the things I enjoy doing -- texture hacks included. It's not that I was trying to tease everyone, I was trying not to screw myself over in school. That's... the short way of putting it.
(Right now, I'm knocking out college work, taking on a texture project at another place, trying to sustain a "digital" social life on another site, trying to find a job, looking after younger siblings, trying to keep up a quota being a Stack Smash member, trying to make sure you guys are satisfied, two other websites, a forum, yadda yadda and a number of other smaller details.)

Guess there's no point in continuing this bit, though. I'm going to be releasing stuff, starting tomorrow. I'm packing up a LOT of stuff as I type (and trying to get some lost CSPs from my two hard drive failures)... so expect a lot of stuff added soon. I would love to have some stuff up tonight, but certain things have come up that really delayed me.

Just wanted to let you all know that I have far from forgotten you all. I'm very glad I can FINALLY do this now.
