Okay, so, I tried to shorten the dress on Peach, using Transparency. A fellow texture hacker told me that the transparency color is: 255 0 255 R G B The result was this:

Wrong forum.
But... I'll quickly answer you and move it.
The answer is... Magenta coloring for transparency only works for +2 images (via ASH, it'll ask you if you want to use it as transparency in the window).
For something like Peach's skirt... (or any non +1/+2 texture) you use transparency normally.
1) Make sure the image has an alpha layer (required by ASH, so this should be automatic) 2) then delete the portions you want to make transparent (or erase, or however you do it to get the checkered background associated with transparency in your editor) 3) There is no step 3, you're done.

No problem!
Also. If you edit anything within the next few hours... I can test textures without burning disks. So... if you want to see if you're transparency worked... I'd be glad to test real quickly.

Heh, great. (I don't miss the days of needing a goto guy... although Kif and Igglyboo were great... it's so much more awesome to be able to try stuff immediately ^_^)

I see I see. I don't want to do that just yet xD. It requires installing a mod chip and some other stuff, right? Too complicated for me x3.

Actually. My method requires a USB Gecko. (~$30 --- it plugs into the gamecube memory slot B)
Only other thing required is the homebrew channel and Gecko OS. (Although... hopefully a completely hardware-less method will be released!)

Oh really? Huh, that's really simple. Seems more cost efficient too. Where do I get the Gecko OS and the USB Gecko?

Well first off let me say... while it is an awesome device... 1) You need a computer near by (roughly 5 ft) 2) Each texture you use must be uploaded per use (well... if you don't swap out characters / shut off wii it stays) 3) Requires a little bit of hex editing / memory searching (easy to teach) and biggest thing... 4) if things go as planned, that method without needing USB Gecko should be out this week But... in favor of USB Gecko... 1) Hack your own codes (requires some guess work and for more complex stuff... a little programming / hacking knowledge) 2) Screenshots! Take a screenshot of anything --- a bit higher quality than normal Brawl stuff too! 3) Change / swap out codes in real time! www.usbgecko.com/
