I've noticed this for a while now... but does anyone think it's possible to get rid of the "Now Loading...." screen when you start up the game? I've noticed that the game doesn't seem to load anything during that period, and it ALWAYS stops after a certain amount of rotations, as if like a movie clip or something.
Has anyone experimented with it? Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. (:

It seems extremely unlikely that it isn't actually doing anything, it may just be doing something that doesn't make a noise.
The set number of rotations is probably just because whatever it is doing takes the same amount of time each time it does it (it would be odd if it didn't...)

^ That's the thing, though. Burned Brawl DVDs, it has the set amount of rotations.
On the normal Brawl disc? It depends on how long you stayed on the "Make sure you're holding your Wiimote right" screen right before.
Figured I'd throw that one out there regardless.

I think it loads the intro.
it might take longer when it loads from a DVD..
