Game Freezes at character select

[Game Frozen]

I put in the PAC and PCS files in the iso... but whenever I load the game in the character select or stages, it freezes.

Am I supposed to put those files for each character like at

fitmario00 for original to replace...

because the ones I got didn't tell where to put them at. D:

any file you replace must be replaced and formatted to that.


If you replace FitLucario00.pcs/pac, you can't rename another file Like FitLucario02.pcs/pac to replace it. It HAS to be FitLucario00.

Actually you can replace any of the costumes (for the same character) and it should still work...

I think there was some confusion before because nobody actually tested replacing a different one.

Oh wait...maybe the problem is that he didnt use WiiScrubber 1.21

Before you burn a disc, try extracting the _new.pac using ASH, if it works, then everything should be OK with the pac/pcs, otherwise something went wrong before that.

Makes sure you use WIISCRUBBER v1.21, ALWAYS. NOT 1.20, not 1.31, not 1.3, ALWAYS 1.21.

Now then.
Perhaps there was an error in hexing? I know I've had the game freeze on me whenever I screwed up hexing.

I had this problem too even though ASH extracted the PAC sucessfully. I think its basicly that game doesnt like that texture, theres probably too many colors in the costume or u replaced a different PAC with another one (replace 00 with 02) but that only applies to characters who have their models changed depending on wat costume they have (Like Sonic and Wario to a certain extent)

when you put a 00 Pikachu texture on another one (like if you put Pedochu on Red Pikachu with a hat), it makes the hat disapear, and won't freeze the game.
I dunno about Wario and Sonic though.
