to make assist trophy characters playable? (lyn in particular?)
i mean...i know its a\probably alot and maybe near impossible, but for her specifically, she already has a frame and textures as well as animations...

Short answer: No
Long Answer: Yes but it would be almostas hard as creating a new character from scratch. - Although the model is there, there will only be a few animations, but most will be missing. Plus so much other stuff it's not even worth going into.

...isnt the concept of bringing mewtwo back based on this though? (as far as i know roy was already nearly done anyway, so he doesnt count)

You got me. I don't know much in this field, but I'd assume it could be possible, given the model for the Assist Trophy is there and such.
