Woo, I was pretty blown away when Dally suggested this to me. While it would be cool to have CC and KC (and ESH) join together, I personally think it would cause problems. (Too many authors, fights over which team leads more inside this mega team)
I would DEFINITELY love it if the teams got really close and did something, not technically join together...
EDIT: Dally, mind editing your post to say the full names and give links to all three sites? Just to help others out to see if they think it should be done. (I wonder where this is going to go)

Very nice shadow (Which by the way is my favorite sonic character. Sonic can die as long as Shadows around)
